POS
Connect your POS system to Straumur's payment terminals.
The terminals run on Adyen. You send requests in Adyen's Terminal API format, and this section covers the setup most Straumur merchants use. For anything not covered here, see Adyen's Terminal API documentation.
Send an email to posar@straumur.is and tell us you want to integrate a POS system. We'll set you up with test access.
Before you start
You need your Merchant ID. This is the name of your merchant account at Adyen. If you don't know it, ask us at posar@straumur.is.
Choose how your POS talks to the terminal
There are two ways to connect. Most merchants use cloud communication.

| Best for | Most merchants, cloud or web POS, several stores. | POS systems that need the lowest possible latency. |
No POS integration? Use a standalone terminal
You can also get a standalone terminal that isn't connected to a POS system. The amount is entered directly on the terminal, so no development is needed. Contact posar@straumur.is to get one.
